Golf Courses - Long Island - Laffey Real Estate

August is National Golf Month, and it's hard to imagine a better time to be out on the links. Considering how much time we've all spent in self-quarantine this spring, getting out and playing a round of golf sounds better than ever.

Here on Long Island, our real estate agents are always grateful to live in a place with some of the best golf courses in the Northeast. Golf is also a great activity when you want to get outside and have fun while still practicing safe social distancing. Be sure to check out these amazing Long Island golf courses this month:

  • Harbor Links Golf Course - 1 W Fairway Dr., Port Washington, NY 11050
Nestled among the rolling hills of Nassau County, Harbor Links Golf Course offers well-groomed greens and fairways that challenge players of all skill levels. Harbor Links includes an 18-hole championship course as well as a 9-hole course and driving range. There are great views to be had from practically every hole. Harbor Links Golf Course is convenient to many beautiful Port Washington homes for sale and is routinely ranked among the very best of Long Island's public courses.

  • Bethpage State Park Golf Courses - 99 Quaker Meeting House Rd., Farmingdale, NY 11735
Bethpage State Park offers an incredible range of outdoor recreation—hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, ball fields—but the park has always been best known for its golf courses. Just minutes from these Farmingdale homes for sale, the park is a public golf mecca, with five 18-hole public courses. The most prestigious (and challenging) of these is the legendary Black Course, which is the longest golf course on Long Island and has hosted numerous U.S. Opens and PGA events.

  • Crab Meadow Golf Course - 220 Waterside Rd., Northport, NY 11768
Some might call Crab Meadow Golf Course a bit of an off-the-beaten-path destination, but it's worth it for golfers who want to beat the crowds. It's a picturesque but challenging 18 holes, with elevated tree boxes and some tricky hazards. Nestled on the North Shore near these Northport homes for sale, Crab Meadow has some of the best views of any golf course on Long Island, including sweeping vistas across Long Island Sound. Try to time your visit so you can catch the sunset while you're on the back nine.

  • Eisenhower Park Golf Courses - 1899 Park Blvd., Westbury, NY 11590
Eisenhower Park's driving range and three public golf courses are among the most popular on Long Island and for good reason. The Red Course, White Course, and Blue Course each offer challenging plays and great scenery, a stone's throw from these Westbury homes for sale. Of the three courses, the Red Course typically stands out as the favorite, partly for its storied history. The course was designed by prominent golf architect Devereux Emmet in 1914 and has hosted PGA championships dating back to 1926.

  • Bergen Point Golf Course - 69 Bergen Ave., West Babylon, NY 11704
One of three public golf courses owned and operated by the Suffolk County Parks System, Bergen Point Golf Course stands out thanks to its spectacular location overlooking the Great South Bay. Located just minutes from these Babylon homes for sale, Bergen Point Golf Course often challenges golfers with stiff winds but makes up for it with an open layout that makes it possible to miss a shot or two without penalties.

Golf is a great way to enjoy the fresh air and stay safe this summer, and National Golf Month offers a prime opportunity to hit the links. Contact us today to learn more about life on Long Island, and talk to our team about finding your dream home in Suffolk and Nassau counties.
