Every September 25th, the world tips its hat to those artists who gave us a single smash hit before fading from the spotlight. National One-Hit Wonder Day was created in 1990 by music journalist Steve Rosen as a way to celebrate the "lightning in a bottle" magic of those fleeting chart-toppers.
